Japanese Baseball Card Starter Collection
Since Ichiro Suzuki arrived in the Major
League this past summer interest in Japanese baseball cards has boomed.
Thousands of collectors have begun to
add Japanese cards to their collections. Most do it in an unorganized
fashion- buying individual cards or lots as they appear on ebay.
Often these cards are misidentified by the sellers. To help people
who wish to start collecting Japanese cards or just own a few, I have put
together this Japanese Baseball Starter Collection.
It includes:
A 24-page booklet entitled An Introduction
to Japanese Baseball Cards which outlines the history of Japanese cards
with about 60 pictures
30 Japanese cards from different sets
Each card is sent in a semi-rigid toploader
and is labeled with the year and manufacturer
Included cards include:
A complete run of BBM cards (1991-2001)
Upper Deck 2000 and 2001 Issues
Examples of Calbee cards
A 1950s-60s Menko
A 1982 Sadaharu Oh card
Also examples of Takara, Yamakatsu
and Tomy ID cards
